Our Children
We have chosen a little girl who will be four in December and a little boy that will be six in March. There are a few reasons why these siblings hold a special place in our hearts. They were brought to the orphanage on my dad's birthday last year (10/10/08). My dad passed away in 2007. Their medical testing once they entered the orphanage was completed on my mom's birthday (10/13/2008). And to top it off, our friends adopted a beautiful eight month old daughter from the same orphanage and when I emailed her photos of the siblings we were interested in she emailed back and said she was fairly sure they had seen and photographed the little girl. Sure enough, they came to our house and we compared their pictures to our email photo we received and it was the same little girl. Lacy grew up in a very small town and for someone from my hometown to travel half way around the world to adopt their baby girl, photogragh the little girl we hope to bring home as our daughter was a true demonstration of just how small our world is so we are praying they are still waiting for a family once we have approved paperwork!!
Home Study Notebook
We have finally finished the home study notebook and are in Kansas City for an all day adoption training on Saturday. We are one step closer to turning in our dossier for immigration! We have chosen a little girl and a little boy that are siblings and are hopeful they are still waiting once we have our dossier approved so they can be matched to us!
